Yes, _if_ the RamFAST is new (and therefore rev. D) and the Zip GS is v1.02 (any Zip manufactured except for the very first models are), then you can have a Sirius at 8MB that is DMA capatible up to that amount of memory. For the record, I have seen _zero_ reports of the RamFAST rev. D having DMA compatibility problems at 8MB. It was specifically designed to DMA into all memory cards. The older, larger, RamFAST rev. C will have problems at 8MB. Luckily Sequential only sells the rev. D card now. If anyone has a RamFAST rev. D and has other experience to contradict this, please say so. Again, as far as I know, 8MB Sirius with DMA with RamFAST _rev. D._ is not a problem. >Also, are there any drive size limitations on the RAMFast? >(I've got a spare 500MB external) > >Daniel Ratzlaff (norby) >norby@idir.net No size limit as far as I know. Just be careful of some models that require the controller have an SCSI ID. Those won't work. You will probably want to _test_ the drive first (so make sure they have a money back guarantee). 500MB will work easily, since people have connected GB models. -Scott G.
