A Happy IIgs 11th Birthday Greeting from Tony Morales
Happy Birthday Apple IIgs! To celebrate the Apple IIgs' eleventh
birthday, I have decided to release a couple things I wrote years ago when
I was just learning how to program the IIgs. The first of these programs,
Song, is a little ProDOS 16 diddy which uses the Note Synthesizer to play,
"Happy Birthday." Very appropriate. The second program I have
decided to release is, Blacktop. Blacktop is an INIT which will make the
IIgs desktop black. Blacktop is small, simple, yet effective. I wrote Blacktop
for a friend who wanted an easy-to-see IIgs desktop, and the best color
for this is black. The original name for Blacktop was Blackout--not the
virus, I assure you. Actually, due to a little bug, and the name, Blackout
never made it to the public. Now that its debugged, and renamed, I hope
you all enjoy it. The best part is if you're a programmer, you'll find I
have included the Merlin 16+ source code for both programs. Have fun! --
