I eventually added a second 8" drive. I still have this system but I haven't used it in many years. I think the 2nd drive is now non-functional, but drive 1 still worked several years ago. I still have several 8" disks too. I mostly used this system with Apple Pascal. I think it worked with Dos3.2 and Dos3.3 too. I never did get drivers for ProDOS although I think some were developed just before SVA (Sorrento Valley Associates) jumped out of the Apple2 scene. Someone used to post on csa2 until a couple years ago who still used/had 8" drives, but the name escapes me at the moment. My point is a few Apple2 users had 8" drives, some of us still have them on our shelves, but I don't know the condition of mine. Contact me if it is really important to try to recover files, and let me know if it is Dos or Pascal. I can't help with ProDOS though, except I could possibly physically read the disk blocks and manually recover files block by block. For nostalgia, I just pulled out my receipt date 3/12/80.
