And it generates a picture sequence, not just >single picture? or.... It generates a picture sequence and then gives the option of saving them as a PaintWorks movie. The PaintWorks format uses a form of RLE compression (not nearly as effective as the type of compression in Quicktime, but it is fast). See http://www.hypermall.com/byteworks ByteWorks for more information. According to a review of the program, it also allows the generation of just one frame of the sequence, in case all you want is a "blend" of two images. >> Also, apparently it is possible to convert some quicktime >> video to IIGS format (although limited by available memory). > >What program allows this conversion? I think the idea is to extract the frames of the Quicktime movie on the PC or Mac, take them to the IIGS, and put them back together again in IIGS format. See the following for example of such a conversion: http://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/upl98/Dec98/Su27.txt >> Gemulator Pro is the most complete Mac emulator I've seen. >> Maybe that's why it is good enough to sell. > >Probably. There have been mac emulators sold through history, but most of >them used a plug-in card with mac roms on it. Gemulator can use it but >does not require it, correct? I wonder why that wrote that in there... Gemulator Pro comes with the option of a ROM card for PC users without Macs. They provide the ROMs. You can get the program without the ROM card, but then you'd need a ROM dump to file from a Mac. This is like what Bernie II to the Rescue, XGS, and KEGS does. Whether or not to get the ROM card depends, of course on whether or not you already have a Mac. ;-)
