Opening an MP3 file in Movie Player and exporting it as a downsampled WAV file is not exactly "unique"... 1. open MP3 file 2. choose File > Export 3. choose Sound to Wave 4. click Options 5. select 11.025 KHz, 8-bit stereo 6. click OK 7. click Save > I've obtained a process on the Macintosh with the conversion of mp3 > stereo music, sound and/or song files, using a newly developed method Newly developed? Umm, WAV files have been around at least as long as Windows... > It's sound quality is just as clean and clear as (if not somewhat > clearer than) an mp3. Maybe if you have excessive wax buildup and typically listen to your MP3s through an AM radio with a 1-inch speaker... > It's size is smaller than an mp3. Well duh, that's because you deleted 7/8 of the sound data when downsampling... > And, it was derived and converted from an mp3. The MP3 files were encoded at an unnecessarily high (192Kbps) bitrate and the WAV files sound like a cheap AM radio... > The files with a suffix of (.mp3) are the actual mp3 (MPEG layer III) > files that I converted to SCAMP files. World exclusive? Only in that you're probably the only idiot who has *bothered* to pirate two tracks from the South Park soundtrack and downsample them so badly... > These two converted SCAMP sound, music and song files Sound, music, AND song? what a deal!! > are released as freeware Comedy Central might have a complaint about that... > and are restricted for non-commercial use, personal listening, > personal and/or non-commercial distribution only. Or just pirate the tracks yourself... downsampling to transistor-radio quality is, of course, optional... I would have commented more on the last half of your post but I've already wasted too much time on what amounts to a ~180-line announcement from you stating that you discovered the Export option in Movie Player and have made available via FTP two copyrighted songs in both near-CD-quality format and crappy 11KHz format.
