I recently contacted Cirtech (UK) Ltd., in Scotland, to ask about their present
activities.   Catriona McKendrick of Cirtech told me that because of the decline
in the market for Apple products, the company had moved into producing hardware
peripherals for other types of computers and no longer manufacture Apple
peripherals.   However, Cirtech do still have some Apple products in stock and
will support/service these products for as long as possible ('out with the
length of the guarantee').   A list of the available products is given below,
with prices, and I have added details of some of them.  The prices shown
represent considerable reductions over the list prices;  now should therefore be
a good time to buy any products that are of interest to you.

* Fits into any standard slot in the Apple IIGS or IIe and allows you to connect
up to seven external SCSI hard disks any time you want, AND simultaneously share
a SCSI hard disk with another seven Apple users (NOTE:  the Cirtech literature
gives further details of this capability).   The card has a full feature SCSI
port which supports all standard non-removable X3T9 specification SCSI devices.

* Totally compatible with GS/OS, ProDOS, and all standard operating systems and
programs.   Fast access times and data transfer rates.

* Two types of partitioning are supplied with InSyder:  (1) a fully automatic
system for GS/OS and ProDOS which automatically subdivides drives larger than 32
Megabytes into volumes, and (2) a unique dynamic partitioning system which
allows you to set up variable-size partitions for different operating systems.  
Up to 64 partitions can be created on each of the two drives, and partitions can
be created or removed at any time without affecting other data on the drives in

The Cachebox II series (information taken from CIRTECH's literature)

Cachebox II is the name of a range of print buffers, which connects easily
between a PC and a printer or plotter.   Important points include the following:


* Multi-port parallel, serial and dual models are available.

* Buffer capacities range from 256 K to 2 megabytes.   Easily user-expandable.

* Several PC's can share one or two printers or plotters.   Each PC is
independently buffered.   All PC's can print to the Cachebox simultaneously.

* Compatible with any PC, printer or plotter with standard parallel or serial
interfaces.

* Software-independent.   100% compatible with all applications or programs.

* Appears as a super-fast printer to your PC and software.  Can automatically
print multiple copies of any document.

* Ultra-high data transfer rates:  up to 30,000 characters per second.

* Built-in diagnostics.

* Safe low voltage external power supply.

* All cables supplied:  just plug in between your PC and printer or plotter, and
go.
