I just heard at yesterday's A2 club meeting that Softdisk is considering getting out of the DOM idea altogether. You should check out Kula Software's website for Eamon Games at http://www.angelfire.com/hi/kulasoft/. Kula Software sells all Eamon Games. I've bought from Michael Ching at Kula Software for years and I can honestly say that I've never been disappointed. I recently had a single damaged file on a disk that I bought from him two years earlier. He apologized, made a good copy from his master and mailed it out to me at no charge. Try getting that QUALITY of service anywhere these days after 30 days and without a receipt! There is a link at the Kula site for just about everything good that's Apple II, including THE UNOFFICIAL HOME PAGE OF EAMON GAMES http://www.lysator.liu.se/eamon/ It even lists how to get in touch with the authors listed below: Email links to authors * Donald Brown (the original implementor of Eamon, although no longer involved in developing it) * Tom Zuchowski (author of several games and president of the Eamon Adventurer's Guild) * John Nelson (improved the original Apple program, made the "official" conversion to MS-DOS and authored several games, including Orb of My Life) * Jon Walker (converted Eamon to MS-DOS) * Michael Detlefsen (converted Eamon to the Atari ST) * Paul Gilbert (made another Eamon conversion to MS-DOS) * Nathan L. Segerlind (author of several games, including Attack of the Kretons) * Henry Haskell (author of Lotto's Masterpiece and Vaalpa's Plight) * Greg Gioia (author of Fire Island and other games) Hope this helps and ][ Infinitum! These were AWESOME plays and I would like to include them on the CD-ROM. The CD-ROM is going right into the public domain as I intend to give quite a few away and then sell them for a couple of bucks to cover my costs. Does anyone know the status of the old Softdisk Apple II (=not= GS) software? If it's not in the PD, does anyone know who I can contact to try to get permission to include those three games on this project? I don't know if it would make a difference, but I have the original Eamon-style development copies of these games, as I was Sam's beta-tester. But I also have the Softdisk versions. I could use whatever version was appropriate. Thanks for your help! Tom Zuchowski, editor Eamon Adventurer's Guild >>
