I'd use an AMD Athlon (K7) CPU myself. The 650Mhz model blows away anything from Intel and it might not have the gigaflop capability of the G4, but it is a hell of a lot cheaper and the 200Mhz system bus means more in day to day tasks. For Mac stuff, I'd license Gemulator Pro and use that from http://www.emulators.com/ ;-) It would be a killer Rhapsody machine should that OS ever come out. That should satisfy the Mac folks. Gemulator in the meantime. (Rhapsody is supposed to run under many different platforms, if Jobs hasn't killed it yet.)
