Most Apple II .shk files are ShrinkIt-compressed collections of files. Another kind of ShrinkIt file is a whole-disk archive, usually designated by the .sdk suffix. To unshrink most Apple II .shk files, you can use ShrinkIt v3.4 running on an Apple II or Apple II emulator (like AppleWin). It is available on the PDSHRINKITS.dsk disk image on Ground at ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/useful.stuff/Disks/ .
