Is there any way to keep the cards in place? The older > Apple III have some metal clips on the cards keeping them position, but > I've not found this for the IIGS I have noticed this too. So far it hasn't been a problem since I don't move the GS box very much. I also had to use a spacer between the card in slot 7 and my GS memory card. The Focus card leaned to the right and the ram card leaned to the left. Just enough that they touched along the top. It probably didn't make much difference, but IMHO, it blocked the air flow which both cards need to stay cool. To fix this, I trimmed a plastic cotton swab to (about) 1" and stuck it between them. So far, this has worked great. One thing to remember, if you have problems with the system, always check the cards first. It might even be necessary to pull them out and slide them back in place. Power OFF of course. > --> Super Serial card --> DB25 connector > --> Second Sight VGA board ---> DB15 connector My SSC came with a 'nut plate' which holds it securely in place. I would think the Second Site should have one too. These items may be hard to locate now. If you are creative, you might be able to jury rig one from PC parts. For example, the SSC plate could be made from one of the slot cover plates which hold either the 25 pin serial connector or parallel connector. You should be able to find these at your local PC shop. -- Thank you for your time and interest. I hope it was helpful or at least interesting.
