and download BASICSYSTEM.BIN and PRODOS.BIN . The Readme.txt includes these
directions:

To have a bootable ProDOS diskette, copy the files to
a ProDOS formatted diskette.

Rename the files to ...

BASIC.SYSTEM
PRODOS

Set the filetype for each to hex $FF (or SYS if inputing
filetype in Text).

The diskette should boot ProDOS v1.9 on a 64k or larger
Apple II and leave you in BASIC.

     The above takes it for granted that your Mac can do a correct (for Apple
II)  ProDOS format and that you have some Mac utility which can change ProDOS
filetype.

     Once you get ProDOS working, you can run ShrinkIt, DSK2FILE, and other
utiities which will let you get a lot more software (including whole-disk
.sdk files which will get you DOS 3.3 as well as GS System 6.0.1).


     In the long run, you will probably want to find a better way to move
files to your IIgs. (For one thing, there are some IIgs files which will not
fit on an 800k diskette.) A direct serial connection (NULL modem connection)
works well for moving files back and forth to your net computer.
