Win95 supports file names with embedded spaces, so there should be no problem really. > 2) Are there better tools or maybe a newer verion available? You could always download FID.C from http://hotel04.ausys.se/pausch/apple2 and compile it on your favourite ANSI C compiler. Its user interface is unremarkable (a text mode "dump terminal" interface), however the program is portable to any system with an ANSI C compiler. And you also have the source available, i.e. you can modify the program if you want it to be different. Files viewed or extracted with FID.C are all converted to ASCII: bonary files are converted to hex dumps in Apple monitor formats, text files are converted to ASCII with end-of-lines as they usually are represented on the host system, and "I" and "A" files are converted to Basic source in ASCII form (unless the "I" file happens to be an S_C Assembler source file - in that case it's converted to assembler source in ASCII form) Good luck! -- ---------------------------------------------------------------- Paul Schlyter, Swedish Amateur Astronomer's Society (SAAF) Grev Turegatan 40, S-114 38 Stockholm, SWEDEN e-mail: pausch at saaf dot se or paul.schlyter at ausys dot se WWW: http://hotel04.ausys.se/pausch http://welcome.to/pausch
