An Apple II FlashROM card - Discovered! By Charles T. ŒDr.Tom¹ Turley Contributing Editor - GS WorldView Feb. 4, 2000 (The contents of this folder may be used and/or distributed without restrictions) A couple of weeks ago, I discovered this Apple II FlashROM card while researching what¹s new and unique for the Apple II computers. I converted two of the three disk image files into ShrinkIt disk archives (SDK) for use on the REAL Apple II machines. The third disk image ŒFLASHDISK.dsk¹ could not be accessed for conversion to a real Apple II disk for archiving in the ShrinkIt disk archive format. This folder contains the following; A28fxxx.dsk A28fxxx.SDK (both renamed from the original name: 28fxxx) FLASH.SRC (a folder containing standard ASCII text file conversions of all the original binary source code filesfrom the two disks - FLASHSOURCE and A28fxxx. I renamed the second disk from 28fxxx to A28fxxx to allow ProDOS and GS/OS to load, access and deal with the disk name. Both are in DOS 3.3 and are bootable.) flashBOT.jpg FLASHDISK.dsk FlashROM.zip (A zip archive of all the original files and and disk images in this folder.) FLASHSOURCE.dsk FLASHSOURCE.SDK flashTOP.jpg READ29F.TXT README.TXT ROMD28F.gif ROMD29F.gif I¹m sure the readers of this issue of GS WorldView will be impressed with this new find of hardware and software for use on their A2 computers. I certainly was. My special thanks go to the author, programmer and designer, RedSkull for freely providing it all to the general public and to the Apple II community.
