Date: May 26, 2000 From: pa.schaefer@fz-juelich.de Subj: RE: Drive schematics To: cturley2@aol.com Hi Tom, attached...you will find a schematic diagram and the component place plan of the Ehring FDC-4 (not -2, that was a typo). In the table x means closed (geschlossen), o means open. FDC4.asm is the source code of the 2716 eprom that is executed after PR#6. The TBP28LS22 prom is a regular P6A from Apple. I also have one or two empty controller boards (they have been sold as kits, too). It it is interesting for you, I will scan them. Another point that may be interesting for your collection: Robert Doerr (rdoerr@home.com) has reported on a 'prototype' ][plus board he found. http://www.robotswanted.com/pictures/apple2.JPG This is a clone that was assembled from a kit, in the '80s these kits were very popular in Europe. I have scanned the assembly instructions, the files are attached. The text is in German, but at least the tables may be useful for someone. For the scans I have chosen an 8bit greyscale format. This results in a better quality than the pure b/w format, however, the files are somewhat bigger.
