Make IIGS Music with
Switch Ensemble

Like EA's Instant Music, Switch Ensemble from Jon Adams lets you play
and interact with the music. That is, you can use key presses to 'jam' with
the music or in other ways change its sound in real time.

While the music plays, SE also provides a streaming 'light show' color-keyed
to active instruments. Or, you can watch the music scroll by on the program's
Edit screen.

Yes; Switch Ensemble lets you modify the musical score, too. Since, at
present, we do not have the docs, exactly how is 'left to the reader'
to figure out.

The program uses the same kind of wavebank files employed by SynthLab
and Music Composer. However, SE's song file format seems to be incompatible
with that of any other GS music program. (On the bright side, you do get a
large collection of songs and themes on the SE disk.)

Downloads

After downloading, unzip the .zip files on your net computer (e.g. via WinZIP);
or, on your IIGS, use PKunZIP to get the standard .SHK file archives.
Use GS ShrinkIt to unshrink these .SHK files to hard disk or diskette.

Switch Ensemble v2.0 disk contents in .SHK file
includes SE, SE music, and  three wavebanks

Wavebanks in .SHK file
includes these ten wavebanks (ten .bnk + .wav sets):

Combo
Demo
HeavyMtl
Hyperbole
Orch
Piano
PowerChor
Rap
Roland
