Specifically I am looking information on the > keyboard commands for the games. I have the games but none of the game > instructions.... thanks. Just checked out Galactic Empire (Disk 1 of a four-disk "Galactic Saga" set of games). It's weird to see such an early Broderbund product, one with just the company name and address in hires type on the intro screen! There doesn't seem to be any Galactic Saga info available on the Apple II Textfiles site or in issues of Computist; and, I do not recall ever playing the games. Galactic Empire seems to work a little like Elite as far as accessing the Maps goes. You use the <--, -->, RETURN, and / keys to move the cursor and press ? to get info on the nearest system. Most of the letter keys are shortcuts for getting information on the corresponding system-- e.g. N gives a quickie readout for Novena. Pressing R gets you out of the Map display. Maybe you will discover more about the Galactic Saga games and post the information; or, maybe a veteran player will post something. (For one thing, it would be nice to know something about the setting/scenario. Like, are you for or against the Empire?) Eventually, we should have a decent set of docs which everyone can access.
