COELOGLOSSUM VIRIDE
E: Frog Orchid
F: Orchis grenouille
G: Gruene Hohlzunge

This is the only european species of a mostly north-american family. It's a small humble and inconspicious plant which dwells in the mountains and hills of Europe.

This is one of the few orchids which prefers acidic soil. It has forked bulbs like Dactylorhiza.

Although C. viride is not too rare, it can be hidden well. With its green and purple colors, it can easily be overlooked in the grass.

According to the experts, garden culture is not too difficult. It can be placed in a semi-dry bed with acidic or neutral soil.
